- One School & One Book: copies of “Charlotte’s Web” for all incoming 2nd graders, as well and next year’s 3rd and 4th graders, and 30 teacher unit guides. The school-wide reading initiative over the summer includes weekly summer read-a-louds offered with teachers; comprehension tie-ins upon return to school in September; and provides a connective school-wide bond on the first day of school (2015)
- African Arts in Education Residency: display of actual African art for students to view and touch and week-long residency by Crocodile Music to provide instruction and presentations of African drumming and dancing, culminating with a district-wide concert. (2015)

- Seeds of Success Program: supplies to grow plants utilizing renovated greenhouse and newly built raised gardening beds (Eagle Scout project) to integrate art and science related to flowers and vegetables (2014)
- Side-by-Side Child/Parent Paired Writing Project: a teacher book club giving professionals the opportunity to discuss the 6+1 traits of writing and how to best implement them in individual classrooms; followed by a student/parent interactive writing project about topics such as respect, friendship, and conflict resolution (2013)
- Visual Arts Studio Environment: individual art work stations as part of transforming space in the school’s atrium to enhance student learning and inspire individual creativity (2011)
